- Description
- -----------
-
- ShellSize offers you the possibility to drag and size your shell-window
- befor it is open. This is very useful when using large workbench screens
- with many windows on it.
- When invoking a shell, shellsize will first draw a box that can be moved
- and sized after pressing the left mousebutton. Click again to finish
- sizing and the shell window will open in desired size and position.
- Version 1.2 of sizeshell looks much better now!
-
-
- Installation
- ------------
-
- Just click on the install-icon and all will be done for you.
- You will instantly profit of SizeShell`s features!! :)
-
-
- How does it work?
- -----------------
- After having positioned the box, four environement variables will be set.
- SHELLX, SHELLY, SHELLWIDTH, SHELLHEIGHT
- After that, the newshell command is started with these dimensions as para-
- meter. That`s it. Not very tricky, but it works fine.

- Bugs
- ----
-
- In Version 1.1 the box wasnt`t erased comletely when sizing with the workbench
- or a drawer window in background. This was fixed in V1.2, by avoiding mouse-
- movement with pressed left button. Now you only have to click once if you want
- to size the window.
- Still there are some minor gfx bugs but they`re not too disturbing.

-
- History
- -------
-
- V1.0 ... I`m so sorry... V1.0 didn`t work at all.. forget it
-
- V1.1 no technical change since V1.0 but now it will be correctly installed
-
- V1.2 a person from Italy who`s name I don`t remeber reported that sizeshell
- looks even uglier than I ever expected `cause my workbench window
- isn`t a backdrop window, so that the screen isn`t corrupted each time
- you`re using sizeshell. Can you imagine why...? (thank you, I fixed
- that nearly completely)
